Hello my beautiful beauties. Today I have been doing research on the Pantone season colors. Pantone is the institute that name and choose the popular colors of the season in fashion and beauty. Pantone chooses about 10 shades for the two show seasons, fall/winter and spring/summer. So when you see runway shows or makeup palettes from different companies with similar shades, that is why. So pantone is basically in charge of the “It colors” of the season.
This post will show shadow colors from Coastal Scents as an example of what I feel the color shades of Pantone are. Coastal scents is one of my favorite companies for single shadows that they call hot pots. I love them on me and in my kit. They have great color payoff and are very affordable ($1.98 per hot pot).
So lets start with Spring/Summer. Of course spring and summer are bright whimsical colors. But Pantone does add some grounded colors to tie into the pale light colors of what is known as spring. So I’ll be showing you the closest color I could find to the Pantone shade with the name along with Pantone’s color name and a small description of the color. Ready steady GO!!
Pantone names: Niagara, Primrose Yellow, Lapis Blue, Flame, Island Paradise, Pale Dogwood, Greenery, Pink Yarrow, Kale, Hazelnut.
Coastal Scents names: Steel Blue, Bright Yellow, Electric Blue, Bright Tangerine, light slate, Pale Nude, Vibrant Lime Green, Persian Pink, Olive, Nude.
Pantone names: Grenadine, Tawny Port, Ballet Slipper, Butter Rum, Navy Peony, Neutral Grey, Shaded Spruce, Golden Lime, Marina, Autumn Maple.
Coastal Scents names: Neon Red, Cherry Chocolate, Tea Rose Pink, Kokomo Café, Navy Baby, Ash Grey, Teal Green, Vibrant Lime Green, N/A, Fools Gold. I couldn’t find a color for Pantone’s Marina. Described as a cool blue almost like a cornflower shade.
Well folks those are the 2017 Pantone colors. Now I do tend to be a rebel and switch it up. Rules are meant to be bent right?? Don’t forget to like comment and subscribe.
