Hello beauties. Today I want to tell you about my super easy, everyday, simple makeup look that I have been doing. It’s more or a “no makeup” makeup look. Lately I have been working a ton and different shifts on top of it, so most days I’m out the door heading to work at 5:30 am. So since I am barely conscience that time of day, I still want to look put together but effortless. Now on some days I will just waitress in the evening and that gives me more time to play. But this has been my majority rules look.
So after my skincare is done, I have been opting for tinted moisturizer. My skin has been a little congested lately because I have been a little under the weather so I want to keep everything light and breathable. With that being said, I have been opting for a BB Cream. I have been grabbing my ELF BB cream in beige, Target $6. This is a gorgeous lightweight BB cream that has really good coverage.
Concealer is also from Elf, it is the maximum coverage concealer in tan, Target $3. I like this under my eyes, around my nose, and any places that need spot concealed. They blend perfectly into the skin.
For an occasional color corrector I have been using the Essence no more redness in the shade green to correct around my nose, Ulta $2.99. I put this on under the Elf concealer. This really cancels out redness. The pencil is super creamy and very blendable.
For bronzer I have been using a cream and a powder. I apply the cream first to lightly contour, set my whole face, then using the powder bronze for an all over bronze. The cream bronzer that I love is the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Sponge-On Makeup in Cappuccino, $37.50. This product is really creamy and beautiful on the skin. It’s accually a foundation but I love it to contour with. For powder bronzer, I have been loving the matte bronzer in the It cosmetics CC+ radiance palette, It cosmetics website $38. Blends out and gives the skin a nice sun kissed bronze.
To set my entire face I have gone back to my favorite loose powder. The ELF HD powder in sheer, Target $6. This is the translucent shade. I just found that it comes in two other colors, corrective yellow and a light peach color in soft luminance. So I will definitely be picking those up. This powder is so finely milled and a silky texture which is great for setting the face without adding a layer that can cake up on you throughout the day.
Highlighter is one of the things I enjoy in makeup at the moment. Highlight and brows. For highlighter I have been grabbing my Mac mineralized skin finish in soft and gentle, Mac cosmetics $33. It’s a soft glow and beautiful. Now you know I like a glow that you can see from the international space station, but lately I have been living the glow from within look.
My brows are the same when I do full face of light easy looks. The brows are the windows to the face. Also your brows should be sisters not twins. Sometimes mine are strangers on a train to nowhere but oh well, I still love it. The brow pencil that doesn’t let me down is the NYX microbrow in ash brown, Ulta $9.99. I use this alone or in conjunction with a gel, powder, cream, or wax. It’s my holy grail product. Lately I have been growing out my brows a bit so I can change the shape a little and this pencil helps tremendously. To set the brows I have been using the Essence make me brow in browny brows, Ulta $2.99. This is a fiber brow mascara that allows the brow to look fuller without extra product.
Mascara has been the one I go back to over and over again. I keep at least two in my backup drawer. It’s the Jordana best lash extreme in black, Walgreens $3.49. It doesn’t flake or smear.
So that’s my basic easy daily makeup products I have been using lately. Sticking with this will allow me to use up some much needed products. Thank you so much for stopping by. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe.
Hello folks. I think this is like my 5th empties post but I love doing these because it takes going through a entire product to really know whether you like it or not and if it’s worth a repurchase. Plus it’s sometimes hard to get through an entire product when you’re a beauty junkie and have so many things to get through. Some of these are repurchases which shows how much I love them. So lets get to the trash so I can finally throw them away loll!!!
Pur Minerals Soak it up intense moisturizer (Kohls $34.00). I have purchased so many of these I can’t keep count. I love this moisturizer. It soaks into the skin quickly without leaving a film. Great for oily skin. I have purchased a different moisturizer to try out but this one will be back in rotation on a regular basis soon.
Formula 10.0.6 So totally clean deep pore cleanser with salicylic acid acne treatment toner (Ulta $5.99). This is one of my favorite toners. Definitely my favorite drug store one. This deep cleans my pores and balance the PH in my skin keeping breakouts to a minimum. Doesn’t burn just a light tingling feel to the skin.
Elf daily face cleanser is really great for a daytime cleanser (target $6.00). It’s very gentle on the skin. Thin consistency and a light foam so it won’t strip the skin. Great addition for all skin types.
Neutrogena ultra light cleansing oil (walgreens $10.49): I hate this product. The smell is too strong, it burned my eyes, left a film on my skin after rinsing it off, and it took too much work to remove my makeup. I love the original cleansing oil, but I can only find it occasionally at tj maxx. This is a absolute no for me. Yuck!!!
Aveeno clear complexion daily cleansing pads (you can get this at any drugstore but I normally get mine at ulta so that I can get points $7.99): I love these and I always have a jar of these on my bathroom sink. These are great for night time cleansing after removing your makeup aka the second cleanse. They have different types of these cleansing pads, but this one is my favorite because it has salicylic acid in them. These pads have a smooth side and a exfoliating side and is already wet and ready to go. Great for travel.
Estee Lauder double wear light in intensity 4.0 ($39.50): This is a great foundation for spring and summer. light weight version of the infamous double wear that everyone raves about. It has a little less coverage but the same matte finish. Lasts all day through the toughest of days.
Revlon color stay is a cult favorite ($9.99). This is my moms holy grail foundation. It’s okay but nothing I reach for. I have the color 380 rich ginger which is a good match. I have other foundations that I like better. This foundation made me oily faster than others that I have. Won’t be repurchasing I love the Loreal true match way better.
Revlon nearly naked in 220 natural(discontinued). It laid on the skin beautifully, great finish, and lasted all day. I bought this on a whim and it was gone just as soon as I discovered it. No wonder it was on sale :/.
Lancôme Teint idole ultra 24hr foundation in 420 bisque($47). This is my favorite foundation for a flawless beat nighttime look. Full coverage, last all day, beautiful matte finish.
Nyx mircobrow in ash brown ($9.99). Holy grail brow pencil. I always have at least two in my backup drawer. I can’t go without this product. I use it almost everyday. I sometimes switch up my products between pencil, powder, gel, or pomade but this must be on hand at all times.
Lancôme Le crayon poudre in sable ($26.50). I really like this pencil. It last forever!! It’s great for a full brow. The downside is that you have to sharpen it every time you use it to get that sharp tip. I love the skinnier retractable pencil that Lancome has but this is a good option.
Benefit roller lash (full size $24). I really enjoyed this mascara. The rubber bristles really gets into the lashes to separate and curl up. This mascara really does curl the lashes beautifully.
Loreal telescopic ($9.99). I love this mascara for my bottom lashes and to really separate the top ones. The rubber bristle brush is tiny which is great for precision.
Jordana best last extreme (about $4 depending on store). This is the NYX microbrow of mascara for me. Two always on backup and can’t live without. Normally I don’t care for bushy wands but this one gives amazing volume.
Estee lauder sumptuous extreme volume mascara in extreme brown ($27.50). This mascara is a absolute no for me. It was too wet, the brush was huge and got mascara all aver my face, color didn’t show up, when it dried it was too crunchy, and flaked all over my face. Horrible!!!!
Maybelline great lash in clear ($5.99). I use this mascara to set my brows. Its great and keep brows in place without added color. Also good to put on before brow powder to help the product stick.
Maybelline Instant age rewind in neutralizer ($8.99). This is a really good concealer to counteract darkness under the eyes, I have repurchased this a few times and really enjoy it. A little goes a really long way.
Nyx HD concealer in CW05 ($4.99). This concealer is really creamy and a dream for under the eye. Full coverage and very blendable. Love this concealer and I always have it in my face drawer.
Elizabeth Arden flawless finish correcting and highlighting perfecter in #3 ($28). This is a gorgeous highlighting concealer. It is a light weight formula, which is great to use on top of another concealer to give that glow.
Rimmel scandeleyes pencil in nude ($3.99). This is a really creamy pencil which is very comfortable in the inner waterline. Doesn’t pull on the skin. Unfortunately the product fell out of the pencil before I had time to finish it. I haven’t repurchased it because I have really been loving the nude pencils from NYX and they have different nude shades which is nice.
Jordana fabuliner liquid eyeliner in brown ($2.99). I love this liner in the brown and the black. The brown is great for a softer eye look. The skinny felt tip is great for making a wing liner and for beginners. So easy to use and last all day on the eye without bleeding.
All righty folks those are all the products that I have used up. It’s always a lot because I try to make an effort to use up things I love mainly to not be wasteful or have too much going to waste and so I can have a reason to go out and buy new or repurchase products lol. oops!! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe.
Hello everyone and we are into another month which means another basket of favorites. These products are what I have been loving in addition to my other favorites and holy grail products. Since the warmer weather is trying to peak through, I have been including some combo skin friendly products into my skincare regimen as well. So lets jump right into it cause y’all know I got a lot of stuff!!!
This is an amazing cleanser conditioner. The only time I use a shampoo is to wash out my relaxer. I mainly cow ash, washing hair with conditioner instead of shampoo which can strip the hair. This is a very good moisturizing conditioner. It;s non stripping, no harsh salts, and paraben free. It smells amazing and leaves your hair super soft. I’ve been dipping into my mom’s stash. I got her hooked on cowashing and its been bliss every since lol. This is the green bottle for coarse hair.
This is a mattifying toner. I love it. I have been waiting to use it once the weather broke. It has mattifying powder at the bottom that you have to shake up. I put it on with a cotton round and it combats my oils. Def go pick it up if you are combo/ oily.
I use this as a primer under my makeup and it is amazing. I will be purchasing the full size once I run out. I got his in my Ipsy bag. It keeps me matte all day.
This is another great item from my Ipsy bag. i put this on before bed and before I start my makeup to give it time to soak in. It leaves my lips extra soft and a good protective layer for when I wear matte lipsticks which can dry your lips out really bad. Makeup:
When I found out that ulta was coming out with a contour palette I had to have it!!!! It sold out repeatedly before I had a chance to grab it. And I love it so much, I wish I woulda bought two. I will definitely be getting one for my freelance kit. I’m still debating on getting the Nyx one but not sure yet but if I do, y’all will know.
I have really been into contouring lately so I was in walmart and I saw this and had to have it. This is an amazing palette. At first when I swatched it I didn’t think the contour shade would show up on me, boy was I wrong. And the highlight shade is matte and perfect for setting under the eyes.
This is a limited edition product (sorry folks). I love when an astronaut can see my highlight from the moon lol. This is an amazing highlighter on any skin tone. Its super easy to use and very blend able.
The only place I have ever seen this brand is at Kohls and once they sell through they will not be carrying Elle anymore. Which means I need to get at least one more of this blush because I am obsessed!!! It’s very subtle and very close to my skin tone. Its a really natural look. I can pile it on and you can’t even tell. It gorgeous.
This Blush is a bit darker than the Elle one but it is amazing. It gives me a nice bronze look and I love it. I also found this at kohl’s in the sale section. They will also stop selling this brand as well and I hate that because Flirt cosmetics have amazing products.
This is an unusual color for an eyeliner. It’s a bronze/brick shade. I put this in my waterline and I love it. I love this and to bring it down my lash line for a great subtle pop of color. It goes on smooth and it’s very pigmented.
This liquid eyeliner is an oldie but a goody!! This was the first liner that I used to help me learn how to do a winged liner and line my top lid with liquid. Before this product I was a gel liner kinda chick (still am). this product helped me try new things. And as much as I loved it then, I still love it now. Matte, glides on easy, and very opaque.
I haven’t been able to let the dark fall/winter lip go, which I probably won’t lol, so I have have been using dark liners with lighter lipsticks for more definition. I do have big lips but there’s nothing wrong with a bit more pout right?? lol.
I got this in my Sephora birthday gift and put it away in my drawer to try later. I shoulda tried it earlier because I love it. A true perfect red. And the name is perfect, Cruella. BTW Cruella and Morticia Adams are very under rated and misunderstood. They always have the best cat eyes and their makeup was way before their time and people just didn’t get it mwha!!! I pair this lipstick with the jordana lip pencil and it’s the perfect combo.
I have bought other blush brushes so that I can have a few different ones for when this one is being cleaned. And I still reach for this one every time. I even hate when i have to wash it because I know it won’t be ready for the next time I do my makeup lol. I’ve had this brush for years and it’s still super soft and doesn’t shed. I love that it has the old pink packaging.
This is my janky brush that I can’t seem to let it go!! It use to have a handle but it loosened and came off but I still love it. I use this to blend out my under eye concealer. I got this from ebay for less than $3. It sheds a bit but I will not let it go until I replace it. I actually like that there is no handle because it is easier for me to blend out my concealer.
This is my holy grail fragrance. it is such a sexy smell for day and night. every time I wear it I get compliments. Definitely go out an take a sniff!!!
This is a mens cologne. Yes I typed it right, MENS. This is the best mens fragrance for a women’s body chemistry. Your body chemistry can change the smell of a fragrance. This one is amazing on men and women. I love androgynous things, names, clothes, fragrance. It’s very creative and different. Hey, what can I say, I love being “weird”.
Well peoples that is all of my favorites this month. If there is anything you want me to talk about and topics to cover just comment bellow. And make sure you subscribe so you can get notifications when I post.
Hey everyone this is another go through my beauty trash but this one has a twist. I’ve added two food items, a fragrance, and three beauty tools this time. I’m trying to go through some of my products because its kinda getting to be a bit much lol. Plus running out of things allow you to buy more right?? I thought so lol. So here is my beauty+ trash.
Ps If you haven’t seen my other used beauty items posts check out my page 🙂 With this post I will be going in the order I use them. At least that’s the initial plan. Lord bare with my rambling mind.
This is my usual suspect. I continuously purchase this cleanser. I love that it has salicylic acid in it which my oily acne prone skin loves. And it keeps my skin clear. For an extra exfoliate I will put this on a face poof and scrub my face.
I purchased this cleanser on a whim at walgreens cause I needed a cleanser, I already went over my weekly budget, and it was on sale. This was a really good cleanser. Leave the skin soft and cool feeling effect. Like I walked outside in the fall with a wet face (but in a good way?). This cleanser also has salicylic acid in it which is awesome. The only flaw about this one is that where there is a cooling effect, it can sometimes burn the eyes even if it isn’t close to your eyes.
This is a good serum to add to your nighttime routine. it keeps my skin feeling smooth. I have a few of these samples and samples are golden.
This is my second favorite serum (my #1 serum is Lancome Dreamtone). This serum evens out this skintone and smooths your skin texture. It is also an anti wrinkle treatment which I love because I’m no spring chicken. This one is the newer version of this serum so you see results faster. LOVE
This is a vitamin C serum from serious skincare. I use this at night before I got the samples of the Advanced night repair. This is an amazing skin conditioner!! It really brightened up my skin and helped diminish my acne blemishes.
this is an amazing natural toner for before your moisturizer and to set your face after your makeup. And I’m one of the few people who love the smell of rose water because it is strong. There are only two ingredients in this product: water and rose petal extract. Sign me up. I got this from my local middle eastern grocery store and was only $1.99 which is a steal.
This is one of my favorite night creams. It has anti wrinkle and renewing skin properties. And I love the smell.
This is really good for my T-Zone area to keep from getting super shiny throughout the day. This one doesn’t last as long as my new holy grail mattifier but this was is still really good.
This is a favorite primer for me and my clients when I freelance. It’s only $6 and it is a very nice product. This is the original one, they also have different colors for different skin solutions which I haven’t used. I will be repurchasing once I get through these other primers
This is a tricky but nice foundation. It is best used with a beauty blender to get a great finish. I found that a brush makes it streaky and it transfers onto your clothes. it’s a really nice everyday foundation and great for sensitive skin.
This is a duel ended concealer stick. One side is small for precision and the other more like a concealer crayon. The only thing I don’t like about this product is that it dries my under eye a bit. It’s really good for spot conceal but not good for under eye brightening.
This is my holy grail concealer for brightening my under eye!!!! It is creamy, blendable, and inexpensive. I just opened a new one and I have three backups. I refuse to run out. This is my first choice for clients as well because it doesn’t crease. Definitely a must try.
I love this for an intense under eye highlight. Very creamy but I can’t find in anywhere. #sadpanda
These two are the best brow pencils I have found. They last all day without smearing, they glide smoothly, and doesn’t tug on the skin. I use the Lancome at the front of my brow because it is a lighter color and the Arden for my brow tail and they are the perfect combo. I have already repurchased both of them. Amazing!!!! I haven’t tried the ABH brow wiz but with these two, I haven’t wanted to. oops #sorrynotsorry
This is the perfect spring/ summer blush. Just a slight shimmer to give the skin that healthy glow. It is also amazing in the fall on top of a bronzer on the cheeks. It’s a baked blush so it took me FOREVER to get through it. My thought was “yay I finally finished it, now i can get a different color!” So I trotted out to Ulta Picked up two Laura Geller blushes and a highlight duo (cause the girl knows how to do a baked blush and highlight) I get home and look at the colors of the blushes and what do you know, I picked up another tropic hue!! But I’m not even sorry cause I enjoyed it the entire time and couldn’t put it down. My soul knows what I need!!!!
Last but not least of beauty products is what I use to take off my eye makeup. Now before I swore by the Ponds cold cream cleanser, and I still do, but I found this one at the dollar tree and decided to try it out. it was only $1 and it is amazing and you get more product than the Ponds and for a fraction of the price. You know ya girl love a deal!!!! It doesn’t burn my eyes and it leaves my eye area soft and moisturized. Cause the first things that show your age is your neck, hands, and underwear, so ladies keep it right and tight!!!!
This was the most amazing face cleansing tool I have ever used. It vibrates encouraging skin cell production and repair. Left the skin plump and super soft. The tragic thing is that Dove discontinued it and the only place you can find the cleansing pillows with cleanser in them that attach to the device is on amazon and they ain’t cheap!!! Goodbye love you were better than they apparently thought you were.
It lasted a year, had a good run, but now it sheds more than Stripe in the summer!!!!!!
These where my first dupe for the beauty blender. They are a bad dupe but got the job done, sorta. They are good for concealer but not much for foundation. I’v since found better/ exact dupes, so you can rest in peace now.
I had the mist and the perfume and this scent is everything for the spring and summer!!!! I have to let this baby go cause it has gone bad. It now just smells like alcohol. Poor baby
Every time I go out of town i have to find a Trader Joes. They are my favorite grocery store and we don’t have one in West Virginia (which is the #1 reason why I gotta go!!!). This cookie butter is the ginger bread man’s version of peanut butter. It’s probably the only unhealthy thing in the entire store, so who cares. If slathering tihs on top of my dark jewish rye bread is wrong, I don’t wanna be right. Both my mom and I have even had relatives in other states bring us some when they come in town. My sister has her neighbors ex husband bring some in when he come in town. IT IS THAT SERIOUS!!!!
Well hello!!!! If I was able to legally marry an inanimate object, then I would introduce you to Mr. Bradley (of course he would take my name since this is completely crazy)!!! I add this to my almond milk and it is a glass of delicious love in a cup. In the winter they have a pumpkin chai latte that is just as good. I just opened my last stash and I’m already getting nervous!!!
Well folks that all of my nonsense for the evening. Tune in next time for who knows what and nobody knows how crazy it will get. Questions and comments bellow and please subscribe.
