Hey loves. Today I will be sharing my current skincare routine. Lately my skin has been cooperating with only a pimple here and there. I have combo to oily skin so I try stick to good quality products or a good price. I do tend to switch up some of my products so my skin doesn’t get use to one thing. For morning skincare I keep it simple and gentle. I do acne treatments and face masks, when needed, during my night time skincare. Since moving further south and the winter being a little warmer, I’ve had to adjust my skincare.
These are my cleansing tools. The ELF daily cleanser (target $10) is very gentle and feels really good on the skin. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped of moisture. Every other day I use this sponge and cleanser together for a light exfoliate. I buy these buff sponges in multi pack of 12 at Ulta for just less than $5. Great combo to gentle exfoliate so that your next steps can really soak into the skin.
This is not my favorite toner but it gets the job done. It works in a pinch. I picked this up at target for $3.57. It cleans out the pores but it is a little too strong for me and if I get to close to my eyes it will sting a little. I prefer the Lancome tonique radiance(High end), lancome tongue pure focus(High end), Mary Kay acne control toner (affordable), or the formula 10.0.6 so totally clean pore cleanser acne treatment (affordable). I keep a toner in my skincare because I can tell a difference when I don’t use it. Toner keeps my pores clean, breakouts clear, and oils controlled.
I really love the Pur soak it up moisturizer (Kohl’s $34). It is a gel moisturizer that is ideal for oily skin because it quickly soaks into the skin. Since it is winter I add a few drops of the sculpt 100% pure argan oil (TJ Maxx $10) for a little extra light moisture.
A really great eye cream with great SPF 28 (Lancome $40). This a nice thick cream that lays beautifully on the skin.
Mac strobe cream (mac outlet $23),I like to use this under my foundation to add a healthy glow to the skin without looking greasy. I don’t use this every day, I like it sometimes to give my skin that extra umph under my makeup.
Great for the lips (Walgreens $3.99). I put this on as soon as I wake up in the morning to give it time to soak into the lips.
This is the products I am currently using. Some I love, and some work for now. I switch it up to keep my skin the best it can be.
Thank you all for stopping by. And don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe.
Hey folks!!! Today I want to talk about new products that I have been loving. I love new amazing goodies and these are some that I have found that everyone should try.
The cold weather is approaching and the sooner I get my routine of extra moisturizing down, the better I will be. This lip balm keeps my lips soft all night. I put it on before I go to bed and before I use a liquid lipstick which can dry your lips out.
So I work out five times a week and I will never wash my hair that often. EVER!! So in between washes I use a dry conditioner. The different between a dry shampoo and a dry conditioned is that a dry shampoo cleanses oily scalp and hair, while a dry conditioner cleans and adds moisture to a dry scalp. These are a few that I have been loving. They all smell different. The chi smells like a good mens cologne, it’s a 10 smells like fruit (their leave in conditioner smells the same), and the rockaholic smells clean.
This toner smells like baby lotion so i’m completely love it. But it makes me miss my Nephew baby Kendrick when I’m home. I digress lol, I use this toner in my nighttime routine to deep clean my face and prevent and breakouts that may plan to ruin my life the next day. No ma’am no sir, not with this toner.
This palette was a huge surprise. So I have all state insurance and I have the drive wise device in my car, well I didn’t know that you can use your points and safe drive rewards money to get discounts on all sorts of products. When I went on my account, I saw a beauty fragrance tab and OMG!!!!!!! I hit the mother load!!!!!! I saw this Becca palette and didn’t look back. They have tons of brands and products in all kinds of categories. I ended up getting this for about 40% off. enough said, throw that baby in the cart!!! The 3 highlighters are gorgeous and the 2 blushers is super creamy. The color right to left are:
highlighters- moonstone, rose gold, topaz
blushers- wild honey, and flower child.
This is the infamous the Balm highlighters all in one palette. These are amazing and I haven’t been able to put it down. There is Mary-lou, Cindy-lou, and Betty-lou. This is sold at kohl’s and it’s worth the hunt. They are smaller that the individual highlighters but a little goes miles aka a long way lol.
This pencil is creamy amazingness!!!! I use the darker left side to highlight my brow bone and the lighter right side in my water line. It lasts all day and so easy to use.
Best eyelid base out!!! Perfect dupe for Mac paint pots and a fraction of the price!!!! my shadows stay pigmented and in place all day.
This is a setting spray that leaves your skin slightly dewy without making you oily. Smells like citrus which is nice. I’m combo/oily and I love this stuff.
Now this product says for dry skin but, I use this to break down my makeup and then I wash my face with a acne control cleanser after. I was using and loving the Tatcha cleansing oil but I ran out. And it expensive!! So I decided to try a more affordable cleansing oil. This oil doesn’t burn my eyes, it breaks my makeup down like a dream, and it doesn’t leave a oily film. Amazing!!
I use this concealer under my eyes and then top it with my liquid highlighter when I need extra coverage. It doesn’t crease, roll, or break up. Its thick but doesn’t cake. I love this tiny thing. I have a travel sized that came in a kit and it has lasted me forever.
I am all about that soft/ash free skin and like I said before, the more winter skin prep the better. My sister hates this stuff (she loved the old Jergens one that they had years ago). She said “if the next person getting in the shower doesn’t slip and fall, it ain’t good.” My poor niece and nephew lol. I love this stuff, it works for me and smells amazing. I don’t rinse it all off. I like to leave a little on to soak in throughout the day.
Well folks those are my new products that I have been loving. Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe
Hello folks!!!! I have been gone for a really long time so the best way I know to come back is to show you products I have used up. My goal this summer was to use up all the half empty items I have in my stash. I wanted to get through a lot of stuff cause there’s no point in having tons of half used products crammed in drawers. and rankly it’s just a waste of money. Also it helps me to not buy more of the same things. So I put mot of the products in categories because I use a lot of the same things just different brands. Now warning: I have a ton of goodies so lets get started.
I enjoyed all of these cleansers. The equate daily cleanser is compared to clearasil daily cleanser and it is one of my favorite cleansers. the Olay facial wipes are perfect for travel. I can’t travel without them, the top box is combo/oily and the bottom box is sensitive skin. They fit perfectly in a sandwich bags and no worry about spilling. The Olay total effects has light exfoliating beads that I loved for everyday use. Not abrasive at all. Also doesn’t foam, which takes some getting use to, but your skin doesn’t feel stripped or tight after washing. I would repurchase all of these again. All of these cleansers except for the sensitive skin has salicylic acid in them which is great for blemish control.
I have been repurchasing the Mary Kay toner since I was in high school, which was a long time ago. It helps clear and prevent blemishes. The Lancome pure focus is perfect for controlling oil. It has a mattifying power at the bottom of the bottle that helps you stay matte and keeps your oils at bay. The H2O toner was just okay. Nothing special. It has sea salt in it which helps keep pores tight.
I’ve learned a while ago that gel moisturizers are best for combo/oily skin during the day. I enjoy cream cleansers at night so that they really do the job while I sleep. I don’t need all that work during the day because I will turn into an oily mess. The beinfait night creams are my favorite night time moisturizer. They have the perfect amount of moisture and I wake up with baby soft skin. The beinfait aqua vital is a gel moisturizer for the day. It smells amazing and it’s my holy grail moisturizer. I didn’t like the boots shine control lotion because it didn’t control my shine or give me enough moisture. Even though I have combo skin, I still want the proper amount of moisture so to privent my skin from creating unwanted oil throughout the day and leaving me a greasy mess. I used to use the Mary Kay time wise moisturizer in high school and it did okay, so I thought, so I decided to give it another try. Now that I know more about skincare, I’ve realized that this moisturizer isn’t for my skin. It leaves a film on my skin that causes me to get oily fast. No Ma’am!!!!! I also love the cinique moisture sure. It’s the same concept as the Lancome aqua vital both are gel moisturizers. WIN WIN
these two together are a match made in under eye heaven. Absolu yeux is an eye serum that restores the thin skin under the eye. It has no moisture, just concentrated treatment. I then add the high resolution eye cream on top which seals in the serum and leaves the under eye glowing and soft. I would love to repurchase the absolu jeux but it is very expensive. I’ll definitely be saving up for another one though.
The Altchek night serum and the Lancome visionnaire claim to do the same thing, even skin tone, lighten darkspots, demise the appearance of pores. The Visionnaire really showed a difference in my skin. It has great anti aging properties in it and gives my skin a really healthy look. The Altchek serum took longer to show a less expressive difference. Not my favorite.
I love the argan oil moisturizer. It smells amazing and leaves me moisturized a lllllll day (the body wash is also amazing). I lave the spray and go to moisturize my back because only an elegant can reach their back and even they have a bit of a struggle. lol
This is my holy grail body wash!!!!! The honey almond is a cream wash and the lavender rosemary is a gel wash. I got the rosemary because the honey almond is hard to find around my way. They have other scents. My absolute favorite is mango lily but I can’t find it anywhere in my area, I did order some on riteaid.com (yup sure did). I did find the sea salt one that I want to try next.
I love these to have in my purse. They both are great to have to moisturize throughout the day.
I’ve had this foundation for ever!!! It was discontinued a few years ago but I would still find them on ebay. This is a really mice foundation. It has a whipped consistence with a powder feeling finish. I’m guessing that they were competing with the revlon color stay whipped. they should have kept this one on the shelf a little longer.
This has been in sooooo many of my posts from favorites to empties. i absolutely love this conceler for face highlighting. It’s amazing and i use it all the time. I’m working on one now and have two more in my backups.
All of these mascaras are in black exept for the firs one. The FYEO, for your eyes only, is in the color royal blue. This is a really nice mascara for a pop of color on the lash. It is cruelty free. The clinique high impact is a really nice mascara that I will repurchase. I didn’t like the primer side of it. the clinique bottom lash mascara has a tiny brush which is perfect for my tiny bottom lashes and outer corner lashes and keeps the mess minimal. Estee Lauder double wear zero smudge mascara….. I HATED IT!!!! It made my lashes crunchy, hard, brittle, dry. And it took all the kings horses and all the kings men to get it off and I still had raccoon eyes in the morning!!!! I have never disliked a product so much. I couldn’t even finish it. Now Lancome grandiose is my holy grail mascara. They make my short straight lashes look like falsies!!! Amazing formula, doesn’t smudge and easy to remove at night. The Lancome Oscillation is another one of my holy grails. the wand vibrates allowing you to coat every lash even if you didn’t know it existed.
I like the elf brow gel. keeps my brow hairs in place. The Lancome brow pencil is the best I have ever used. The formula is very smooth and stays all day without fading. The It Cosmetics YBBB is an amazing pencil as well. very easy to use and the taupe color matches all brow colors.
I like the evian facial spray to use before I tone my face. It takes away the tightness in the skin after washing. It’s also nice for when you are out in the sun and need a little cool down. Mac fix+ is my holy frail. It has glycerin in it which keeps makeup for looking cakey. I also love it to give my foundation a glowing finish, to foil and help my shadows and pigments pop. This product is multi use and I can’t live without it.
Well folks that’s all my empties for now. Thank you all for stopping by and peeking into my trash. Any questions please comment bellow and don’t forget to share, like, and subscribe
