Fall Five Pt2

Hello beauty beautifuls. Today I want to do pt.2 of my fall series. This one is products that are really good and are under $5. I love a good product for a great price. I will even buy multiples so that I have them on hand when I run out. Cause you know once the cat is out the bag about an affordable product, poof they’re nowhere to be found. So I have found some that are amazing and can even be dupes for some high end products. Let us dive into the pool of makeup bliss shall we.

Mascara: Jordana best lash extreme (walgreens 3.99). I love this mascara. I try to switch it up with different mascaras but I always seem to go back to this one. I really enjoy high end (lancome Grandious, benefit roller lash) and other drugstore (loreal telescopic) but I can’t seem to let this one go. It doesn’t flake, it last all day, and it doesn’t smudge on my lower lash line. Now I have some very unimpressive eyelashes, but this mascara makes them a contender in the “they aight” lash category.

Blush: Makup Revolution matte blushes (Ulta $5). Makeup revolutionis a UK brand and is now sold at Ulta. This brand has stolen my heart. Their products are affordable and amazing. They are known for their dupes on high end plalettes like the naked palettes. Their blushes are very pigmented. They do have a little bit of powder kickup but that doesn’t bother me because I have to tap some of the pigment off anyway.

Foundation: Wet N Wild Photo Focus foundation (walmart $4.68). This foundation is AMAZING!!! It comes in a good amount of shades. The best part is that they have different undertones as well, and for drugstore that isn’t common. Instead of a pump, it has a spatula which is great to get all of the foundation out of the bottle, but also great to apply a little or a lot without wasting product. Natural semi matte beautiful finish.

Lipstick: Wet N Wild megalast lip color (anywhere $2.67). These are a cult favorite that I haven’t heard anyone talk about in a while. Well these beautiful matte long lasting lipsticks should be praised more. Since liquid lipsticks, people have been throwing traditional lipsticks to the waist side. Not today!! I love these especially in the fall. Creamy and matte without drying out the lips.

Bronzer: NYC Sunny bronzer (anywhere 2.99). Another cult favorite. I have been using this since I got into makeup. I even had this hidden in my book bag in middle school so my mom wouldn’t find it lol. Sorry mom but the lip gloss wasn’t enough #sorrynotsorry. This is a buildable but natural bronzer. Great for no makeup makeup days or to give your bare skin a little life. Gorgeous “slight tan” look.

Concealer: ELF HD lifting concealer. This is a great lightweight concealer to highlight the under eye and the middle of the face. Love this concealer for a natural look. Doesn’t come in a lot of of shades which is horrible but the blendability is great.

Well lovelies those are my 5 under $5 plus 1. I have also attached my youtube video oin this as well. Thank you so much for stopping by. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe here and on my youtube channel.

Favorite makeup brushes

Hello gorgeous beauty junkies. Today I want to talk about my favorite brushes. I talk lot about my favorite products but never seem to get to what I love to apply them with. I use beauty tools as much as possible because since I am acne prone, I don’t like applying makeup with my hands. Now, some people prefer to use their hands, but I’m not one of them. I will apply most of my skincare with my hands but I will use a beauty spatula to get products out of jar packages to not contaminate it. Now I am a beauty brat so I have two favorites for each area so that I have a back up when the others are getting cleaned. My favorite brand brushes are the ELF black professional line and Lancôme. Two totally different ends of the price spectrum (lancome brushes are mostly natural hair brushes). Other great brands I enjoy are ecotools, real technique, and random no names from ebay. If it’s a good brush, it’s coming home with me loll. So lets jump right in with no specific order shall we.

For liquid foundation there is only one brush that fits the bill for me right not. That is the ELF flat top powder brush ($4). This has been my holy grail brush for liquid foundation for years!! I actually own 4 of this exact brush for back up. Now if I want to switch it up, I will go to a beauty sponge from real technique or earth therapeutics. It is a dense brush which makes buffing foundation into the skin a breeze. It’s even great for buffing primer into the skin as well. The price is unbeatable so why not. I even share the love with this one. Roz boog ( my mom) even has a few.

For eye shadow I love a good crease brush and a lid brush. For the crease I love the Lancôme blending shadow #17 (29.50). Now this brush is expensive but it blends out shadow effortlessly. It is super soft and the long natural hairs makes it easy to bland out any harsh lines. An alternate brush for me is the Luxie 227 blending brush ($12). This one is a little shorter hair but is just as easy as the lancome #17. For the lid I use the ELF “C” brush ($3) which is the perfect size to quickly get color on the lid. Another great one is the Wet n Wild large shadow brush ($1). They are almost the exact same brush.

I haven’t really been into the blush lately. Now don’t get me wrong I love a good rouge on the cheeks (lol mom) but I’ve just been going for the bronzy glow you can see from the international space station look. But when I do hit the cheeks with a little something, I love the ELF complexion brush ($4). It’s a beautiful big soft brush that deposits just the right amount of color. My other favorite is the same shape but a little smaller is the ecotools powder brush ($7.99).

For under eye concealer, if I don’t use a sponge, I like the Lancôme duel ended foundation and complextion brush #26 ($47). This brush is the perfect size to blend out concealer under the eye with the lager side and the smaller side is great for the inner corner of the eye.

To set my under eye I go with the ELF blush brush ($3). I’m not sure why they categorize this brush as a blush brush because it is tiny. Maybe a blush brush for a doll. But it’s great to set the under eye with. The brush is so soft and perfect for that delicate area. Another great one is the Lancôme cheek and contour #25 ($40). Again I don’t know why they would consider this as a cheek brush either but I digress. This brush is great because it is two sided and the smaller side can be used in the inner corner of the eye to set that are. I like the inner corner set well because my eyes sometime water.

For all over face powder, I love a giant soft brush to set my face with a light layer of powder. For this I love my Lancôme powder brush #1 ($48) or the real techniques powder brush ($9.99, sorry no pic cause mom kinda borrowed it and never gave it back js). They both are super soft and so easy to use. Evenly distributes powder without looking cakey.

For bronzer I have been obsessed with the Flower beauty powder brush ($15). It is the perfect size for an easy natural bronzer on the face. Another great one is the Lancôme cheek brush #6 ($43) which is great and more structured shape for contouring as well as bronzing.

Now last but definitely not least, my favorite part of makeup (right now). HIGHLIGHT!!!!! I get my best brushes for highlight on ebay. I mostly like to use fan brushes of almost any size. They are cheap and easy to replace if it’s not the one you like. I’ve found duplicates of expensive Nars brushes and even some natural hair brushes for no more than $5. If you are looking for something specific like a certain shape brush, I think ebay is always a good place to look.

Well folks those are my favorite brushes. Thank you so much for stopping by and don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe!!

Pur minerals Soak It Up moisturizer. Perfect for oils girls day time moisturizer. Soaks into the skin without leaving a film. Smalls very clean.

Lancome Absolue precious oil has been an amazing night moisturizer. It keeps my oily skin in check and prevents my skin from creating more oils.

Bliss triple Oxygen instant energizing mask. This is a foam mask and it goes on as a this shave cream like consistency, then begins to turn to foam one oxygen hits is and little bubbles start to pop and the mask starts to evaporate. Such a spa treatment. After 5 minutes just wipe off with a warm towel. Face feels so plump and radiant.

Estee Lauder Double Wear light in intensity 4.0 ELF Bb cream in Medium
Estee Lauder Double Wear light in intensity 4.0
ELF Bb cream in Medium

I absolutely love the Estee Lauder double wear light foundation. There are different types of double wear foundations and a full line of double wear products by Estee lauder ( I also loved the Double Wear bb cream). The popular one that you my have heard ravs about is the regular double wear with is amazing full coverage but it’s too full coverage for me. The light is perfect. Allows the skin to still breath and still has great medium coverage.

Elf BB Cream is one of my favorites. Good coverage and very blendable. So easy to use with a flat top brush.

Mally concealer in light/Medium
Mally concealer in light/Medium

This is a really nice thick concealer. I use it to highlight and its super creamy. A little goes a really long way. And once it’s set, it doesn’t budge.

Mac Studio Careblend pressed powder in medium+
Mac Studio Careblend pressed powder in medium+

I have hit major pan on this powder!!!! It’s ok, I have a backup. This is a great lightweight powder that I use to set my entire face wether I use foundation, bb cream, or tinted moisturizer. It’s my go to powder. Secret: Save all of your empty mac packaging. Once you get %, turn them in and get a free lipstick or lipgloss. It’s called the back to mac program and it’s amazing.

Wet N Wild contouring palette
Wet N Wild contouring palette

This item is a walmart exclusive. Now normally I hate walmart and only go in to buy dog food. But some girls on the makeup social app had mixed reviews on it so I had to give it  try. I love this palette. It fits my complexion perfect. I use a dense angled powder brush to get the most effective results with it. Def worth a pick up and try for only $4!!!!!

Elle Blush #03
Elle Blush #03

This blush is so silky and gives my the perfect natural blush shade. I can put on as much as my wrist can wave and it will never look like too much. Oh Shoot now I have Luther Vandross stuck in my head “never too much, never too much, never too much!!!!!!”

Cargo Cosmetics essentials eye palette
Cargo Cosmetics essentials eye palette

The name of this eye palette explains it all. It is an essential palette!!!! It is absolutely amazing. I have been looking at this palette for months and final got my hands on it. I got this in my gratis bag at work and screamed my head off when I saw this was in there. I was so excited that I almost left the rest of my items behind (but I quickly remembered lol). These Eight mattes, four shimmers, a jet black eyeliner, and a double sided blending brush.

the Balm Meet Matt(es) liquid lipstick in committed
the Balm Meet Matt(es) liquid lipstick in committed

The balm is the cutest makeup line. The names that they come up with are very creative. These are there new liquid lipsticks. I have three of them that was in my gratis and I love them all. In August I kept reaching for the color committed. It is a your lips but better with mauve tone. If that makes any sense lol. It dries completely matte and doesn’t move. It is not sticky at all and smells lie peppermint so thats just lovely

Fragrance!!!

Escada Born in paradise
Escada Born in paradise

When i first smelled this fragrance I didn’t like it cause it shels like coconut. And I HATE coconut. So I kinda left it in the box for a while. The I decided to give it a spray and see what it would smell like with my chemical balance (every fragrance can smell different on everyone based on their own chemical balance). Once I let it sit for a few minute I declared the Escada made this scent for me!!!!! I love it. It smells like summer, breach, fun, vacation…… well paradise lol. I used it everyday cause I knew september would nip my paradise dreams in the bud!! I wanted to get as many sprays outta this perfume before the smell of cool are and screaming school kids hit the air. And I barely made it but I’m glad I did. Escada know what they are doing when it ones to fragrances. Bravo escada, BRAVO!!!!

Well fools that is all my favorites for the moth of August. This onto I will also be doing a review on a few new products that I am trying and some popular items to let you know if they are with the hype. Don’t forgedt to subscribe, like, and comment.

April Favorites!!!!

Hello everyone and we are into another month which means another basket of favorites. These products are what I have been loving in addition to my other favorites and holy grail products. Since the warmer weather is trying to peak through, I have been including some combo skin friendly products into my skincare regimen as well. So lets jump right into it cause y’all know I got a lot of stuff!!!

Hair:

Matrix Biolage Cleansing Conditioner
Matrix Biolage Cleansing Conditioner
This is an amazing cleanser conditioner. The only time I use a shampoo is to wash out my relaxer. I mainly cow ash, washing hair with conditioner instead of shampoo which can strip the hair. This is a very good moisturizing conditioner. It;s non stripping, no harsh salts, and paraben free. It smells amazing and leaves your hair super soft. I’ve been dipping into my mom’s stash. I got her hooked on cowashing and its been bliss every since lol. This is the green bottle for coarse hair.

skincare:

Lancome Tonique Pure Focus Mattifying toner
Lancome Tonique Pure Focus Mattifying toner
This is a mattifying toner. I love it. I have been waiting to use it once the weather broke. It has mattifying powder at the bottom that you have to shake up. I put it on with a cotton round and it combats my oils. Def go pick it up if you are combo/ oily.

Dr. Brandt Mattifying Lotion
Dr. Brandt Mattifying Lotion
I use this as a primer under my makeup and it is amazing. I will be purchasing the full size once I run out. I got his in my Ipsy bag. It keeps me matte all day.

Malin+Goetz Mojito lip balm
Malin+Goetz Mojito lip balm
This is another great item from my Ipsy bag. i put this on before bed and before I start my makeup to give it time to soak in. It leaves my lips extra soft and a good protective layer for when I wear matte lipsticks which can dry your lips out really bad. Makeup:

Ulta Contour Kit
Ulta Contour Kit
When I found out that ulta was coming out with a contour palette I had to have it!!!! It sold out repeatedly before I had a chance to grab it. And I love it so much, I wish I woulda bought two. I will definitely be getting one for my freelance kit. I’m still debating on getting the Nyx one but not sure yet but if I do, y’all will know.

Wet n Wild contouring palette in caramel toffee
Wet n Wild contouring palette in caramel toffee
I have really been into contouring lately so I was in walmart and I saw this and had to have it. This is an amazing palette. At first when I swatched it I didn’t think the contour shade would show up on me, boy was I wrong. And the highlight shade is matte and perfect for setting under the eyes.

Elizabeth Arden Pure FDinish Highlighter in Rose Illumination
Elizabeth Arden Pure FDinish Highlighter in Rose Illumination
This is a limited edition product (sorry folks). I love when an astronaut can see my highlight from the moon lol. This is an amazing highlighter on any skin tone. Its super easy to use and very blend able.

Elle Blush in 03
Elle Blush in 03
The only place I have ever seen this brand is at Kohls and once they sell through they will not be carrying Elle anymore. Which means I need to get at least one more of this blush because I am obsessed!!!  It’s very subtle and very close to my skin tone. Its a really natural look. I can pile it on and you can’t even tell. It gorgeous.

Flirt Blush in Oh Please!
Flirt Blush in Oh Please!
This Blush is a bit darker than the Elle one but it is amazing. It gives me a nice bronze look and I love it. I also found this at kohl’s in the sale section. They will also stop selling this brand as well and I hate that because Flirt cosmetics have amazing products.

Flirt Eyeliner in Brazen
Flirt Eyeliner in Brazen
This is an unusual color for an eyeliner. It’s a bronze/brick shade. I put this in my waterline and I love it. I love this and to bring it down my lash line for a great subtle pop of color. It goes on smooth and it’s very pigmented.

Jordana Fabuliner in black
Jordana Fabuliner in black
This liquid eyeliner is an oldie but a goody!! This was the first liner that I used to help me learn how to do a winged liner and line my top lid with liquid. Before this product I was a gel liner kinda chick (still am). this product helped me try new things. And as much as I loved it then, I still love it now. Matte, glides on easy, and very opaque.

Jordana lipliner in cabernet
Jordana lipliner in cabernet
I haven’t been able to let the dark fall/winter lip go, which I probably won’t lol, so I have have been using dark liners with lighter lipsticks for more definition. I do have big lips but there’s nothing wrong with a bit more pout right?? lol.

Nars Matte Velvet Lip Pencil in Cruella
Nars Matte Velvet Lip Pencil in Cruella
I got this in my Sephora birthday gift and put it away in my drawer to try later. I shoulda tried it earlier because I love it. A true perfect red. And the name is perfect, Cruella. BTW Cruella and Morticia Adams are very under rated and misunderstood. They always have the best cat eyes and their makeup was way before their time and people just didn’t get it mwha!!! I pair this lipstick with the jordana lip pencil and it’s the perfect combo.

Tools:

Mary Kay Cheek Brush
Mary Kay Cheek Brush
I have bought other blush brushes so that I can have a few different ones for when this one is being cleaned. And I still reach for this one every time. I even hate when i have to wash it because I know it won’t be ready for the next time I do my makeup lol. I’ve had this brush for years and it’s still super soft and doesn’t shed. I love that it has the old pink packaging.

Ebay Slanted Kabuki brush
Ebay Slanted Kabuki brush
This is my janky brush that I can’t seem to let it go!! It use to have a handle but it loosened and came off but I still love it. I use this to blend out my under eye concealer. I got this from ebay for less than $3. It sheds a bit but I will not let it go until I replace it. I actually like that there is no handle because it is easier for me to blend out my concealer.

Fragarence:

Gucci Guilty
Gucci Guilty
This is my holy grail fragrance. it is such a sexy smell for day and night. every time I wear it I get compliments. Definitely go out an take a sniff!!!

Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) L'Homme
Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) L’Homme
This is a mens cologne. Yes I typed it right, MENS. This is the best mens fragrance for a women’s body chemistry. Your body chemistry can change the smell of a fragrance. This one is amazing on men and women. I love androgynous things, names, clothes, fragrance. It’s very creative and different. Hey, what can I say, I love being “weird”.

Well peoples that is all of my favorites this month. If there is anything you want me to talk about and topics to cover just comment bellow. And make sure you subscribe so you can get notifications when I post.
